World renowned Australian Landspeed legend Rosco McGlashan and wife Cheryl graced Wellington with a visit in February 09. Naturally Wellington turned on a fantastic day as can be seen here on top of Mt Victoria.

Rosco had been visiting New Zealand's space industry pioneers Rocket Lab in Auckland to discuss Rosco's current challenge on the world landspeed record, Aussie Invader 5R.

Rosco McGlashan holds the current Australian Landspeed Record of just over 498mph (801km/h) set in 1994 in Aussie Invader 2 (left). Both this car and Rosco's subsequent vehicle, Aussie Invader 3 (right), follow similar design formats to Jetblack. This allowed some of the design and construction knowledge Rosco has to be imparted to the Jetblack team.

We all wish Rosco the best in his challenge on the World Landspeed Record.
