Jetblack has a dual purpose, to set the New Zealand and Australian landspeed records and promote New Zealand Engineering and Manufacturing. 

 

This site will tell the story of the most unique and powerful car ever built in New Zealand and of the team who will face the immense challenges of designing, building and racing a 22,000hp, 4 ton jet car.

Jetblack will enter an arena that has been dominated by Great Britain and the United States for the last 70 years; jet powered landspeed records. Our ultimate goal of 1000km/h will make Jetblack one of the fastest vehicles on earth.
