Jetblack is the New Zealand led challenge on the World Landspeed Record. Our focus is on using science and technology and utilising the best people and technology throughout the world.  

Jetblack is the first New Zealand World Landspeed Record Challenge and is intended to promote New Zealand Technology & Engineering while using some of the greatest engineering minds in the world. 

Jetblack will enter an arena that has been dominated by Great Britain and the United States for the last 70 years; the ultimate landspeed record.  It will be the limits of technology and how far we are willing to push then that determines our ultimate speed. 

On the pages in this site you will find information on all aspects of the Jetblack project; the unique challenges of high speed vehicles, the team of highly skilled individuals working to make this project a reality and all of our sponsors.
